Context:

Research + Scoping
We worked with our research partners to determine must-have features that would make or break the success of this app.
Priorities we established were:
[get this from relish deck]
Process + Definition
“he who controls the prompt controls the product” - Jesse James Garrett
we had no prompts, we had no product! This was a pilot for introducing user experience
Process we established was
product: document existing business requirements
ux + product: create feature requests + design tickets
ux: design, iterate, and test
handoff to dev
basic stuff, but it straight up didn’t exist before
some learnings from this:
align on a source of truth!
share vocabulary as much as possible
don’t get too far ahead
Features
Add to Cart - Testing
Checkout - Requirements
Order Guides - Experimentation
Compromises we made along the way:
Product Indicators - wanted to do a broader refactor of product indicators and attributes, tested well, but caused some concern from other areas of the business. Punted this until post-launch when can more effectively devote someone to change management
Product card design for guides - simplified for MVE launch, will continue to get data, test, learn, and iterate after launch
